A Kanazawa University research project concerning the development and evaluation of Spoon DTx for eating disorders was selected for the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED) FY2026 Next-Generation HealthTech Startup Development Support Program.

AMED identifies Kanazawa University as the research institution and Masafumi Kameya as the principal investigator. The project is listed in the medical-device research category of the Startup HealthTech Research and Development stream, in which nine projects were selected from 27 applications.

This is a university-led research project. It is not a grant awarded to ViveSpoon Inc., and its research governance and accounting are treated separately from the company’s commercial activities and the NEDO NEP project.

Selection of the research project does not establish the efficacy or safety of Spoon DTx, indicate regulatory approval, or mean that it is available to the general public.
